Previously, Microsoft committed the feature update for only Office 360 ProPlus and Windows 10 suites. Still, now Microsoft has decided to launch two Windows Server feature updates every year, and this launch will start this fall.

A spokesperson from Microsoft said that Nano Server has been on an effective launch cadence and will continue to be so.
Moreover, Datacenter and Windows Server Standard users who come under Software Assurance will get access to the feature launches semi-annually once they are ready, as per the June announcement made by Microsoft. Windows Servers Support not covered in Software Assurance would be free from the rights of frequent launches. Claimed officials allow users to access launched images of Windows Server in Azure cloud or other hosting environments.
Microsoft has advised business subscribers who seek predictability and stability above quick feature updates to join Windows Server 2016, as it is a long-term service channel launch.
In the past, Microsoft officials claimed that Windows Server would connect with the Insider solution. On June 15, a spokesperson revealed that the images of Windows Server would start appearing next month to people who connect with the rings of Server Insider. Microsoft executives have not yet given many details about the feature updates for Windows Server.
Though it is currently announced Feature Updates For Windows Server by Microsoft to extend the isolation technique of Hyper-V to Linux containers, the spokesperson clarified these features to be an integral part of the fall feature release of Windows Server. Microsoft is now ready to grab the similar naming convention that Office and Windows Clients presently use for servicing. The launch was called the Current Branch but is now named the Semi-annual pilot channel. Around four months later, the company designated this version to an advanced Windows Server launch called Semi-Annual Broad channel – previously named Current Branch for Business in the client segment.
Beginning with the Fall Feature Updates For Windows Server, version 1709, Nano Server would now be the base container OS image. So, it is required for users to run it as the container in the container host, like Server Core installation for the upcoming Windows Server release.
